Non-Ionic Surfactants, Spreader-Stickers & Adjuvants
Specialty surfactants make pesticides perform better by improving their distribution on the plant or in the soil. Different surfactants offer a wide range of chemistries, which makes it very important to use the correct type of surfactant specified by the pesticide manufacturer. Using the wrong type of surfactant, or the wrong rate, can make a pesticide far less effective, wasting money and time.
For All Products:
- Always follow pesticide manufacturer’s label rate and usage instructions.
- Conduct a jar test of any proposed mixture to ensure compatibility of all components.
ACTIVATOR 90 Non-Ionic Surfactant
ACTIVATOR 90 is a low-foaming, non-ionic-type spreader adjuvant. ACTIVATOR 90 provides quick wetting and more uniform distribution of spray mixtures, and increases retention of spray by reducing surface tension of the spray droplets. ACTIVATOR 90 is water-soluble, can also be used with wettable powders, and is especially effective for use with herbicides and fertilizers.
Activator 90 Indicator Application Rates:
For Herbicides, Fungicides, Insecticides, Plant Growth Regulators, Foliar Nutrients, Defoliants: Add 125-500ml ACTIVATOR 90 per 100 litres of spray mixture, or 15-50ml per 10 litres of spray mixture.
Widespread Max 100% Organosilicone Surfactant
Widespread Max is a new-generation wetter/spreader/penetrant that is effective at very low rates. A 100% organosilicate surfactant, the chemistry in Widespread Max is so efficient that it may allow use of the lowest labeled pesticide rate at the lowest recommended surfactant level. Widespread Max is especially effective with fungicides and insecticides.
Widespread Max Indicator Application Rates:
For Fungicides, Insecticides, Plant Growth Regulators, Foliar Nutrients: Add 30-60ml Widespread Max per 100 litres of spray mixture.
For Herbicides, Dessicants or Defoliants: Add 45-125ml Widespread Max per 100 litres of spray mixture
UMBRELLA multi-purpose spray adjuvant
UMBRELLA is a multi-purpose spray adjuvant designed to increase the efficiency of applied pesticides in agricultural and horticultural situations. UMBRELLA forms a rainfast film over the applied pesticide solution, securing it onto the plant surface, reducing environmental losses and enhancing application efficacy. UMBRELLA also optimizes spreading and surface coverage on hard to wet plant surfaces, further improving application results.
UMBRELLA Application Rates: Use 300-1200L/ha UMBRELLA for broad acre, 40ml/10L water for knapsack. Specific use rates will vary with conditions of application such as water hardness, application method, equipment, spray droplet size, condition of foliage, etc..
Methylated Seed Oil (MSO)
Methylated Seed Oil, or MSO, is a specially processed oil recommended for use with certain pesticides, especially herbicides. When using Methylated Seed Oil, always follow the pesticide manufacturer’s recommended rate.
